Rich Straut, a member of the Village Board and liaison with CSX on the quiet zone project, reported this week that CSX has retained a consultant to begin the preliminary study work, and that they plan to have the initial field investigations completed sometime in the middle of this month. Village to Sign Contract with CSX

The March 22, 2016 QZ Committee members Ed Clark and Barbara Brundage attended the Village Board meeting. At the January Village Board workshop last week, Rich Straut, the Village’s liaison with CSX, reported that CSX told him that it was willing to provide some kind of assessment for a four-quad gate system, including cost estimates, for the $27,000 the Village has on hand for that purpose. CSX Response, Meeting to be Set Up
