The Notice of Intent to Establish a Quiet Zone (NOI), which must be issued before CSX will begin the engineering design, was sent in the past week to the Albany County Commissioner of Public Works (DPW). As you may know, the County provided $27,500 to the Village of Voorheesville to obtain an engineering design for four-quadrant gates at both crossings in the village.
