To recap, CSX and Norfolk Southern Railway have proposed a track merger in Voorheesville that would reactivate the track along Prospect Street and allow two Norfolk Southern trains to pass through the Village each day. County Legislator William Reinhardt informed us that on March 8, 2021 the Albany County Legislature approved funding in the amount of $131,440 to complete the engineering design for the Quiet Zone.
